Martin saxophones are made in Elkhart, Indiana. The Martin Band Instrument Company, founded by John Henry Martin in 1865, produced saxophones under the trademark name Martin Committee from the mid-1930s until the late 1960s.
Martin saxophones are known for their range of tones. Some say that the Indiana is a less expensive remake of the Martin, with many of the same features.
